My co-op experience with Roots Marketing through the University of Guelph was nothing short of incredible. From day one, the team trusted me with meaningful responsibilities, allowing me to truly contribute and grow. Their cohesiveness and dedication to their clients were inspiring; they genuinely care about delivering the best for each and every client, no matter the project size. From the very beginning, the team not only recognized my strengths, such as design, but at the same time, they encouraged me to explore areas such as networking which I hadn’t yet had the chance to execute in my program!
What stood out the most was how personable and supportive they are—not just to their clients but to their team members as well. The environment at Roots Marketing fostered teamwork, learning, and growth, making it an ideal place for any student looking to gain hands-on marketing and networking experience. Roots Marketing provided an outstanding experience as they guided us through the redesign of the Georgetown Hospital Foundation website. Our previous site was outdated, and their team completely transformed it, improving the flow, enhancing the donor journey, and modernizing the overall look and feel.

As an operator of a small business, I was concerned about the amount of spend required to benefit from digital marketing. After meeting with Fred at Roots Marketing I felt confident in the spend required and the expected ROI. I was going to attempt to launch campaigns on my own, but after reading horror stories online I was very glad I met with Fred and the Roots Marketing team who are tenured in this area, and have evidence that supports the spend and outcomes received.
